Ready Chef is a second generation, family owned, Catering Supply Business originally set up by William Tallon Snr in the sixties. Today his sons, William and David, carry the ‘fruit n veg’ mantle forward into the new millennium.

In the intervening years the business has grown to be recognized as one of the largest independent, Irish, family run, BRC accreditted, providers of fresh and prepared produce to all food service sectors.

Originally located in Dublin 7 close to the Smithfield Markets, the business expanded and, during 1998 moved to a purpose specific plant in the Dublin Industrial Estate in Glasnevin. This has proven to be an excellent central location for distribution countrywide.

Ready Chef supplies a full range of fresh and prepared fruits, salads, vegetables and potatoes products. We also operate our own, on-site, food production facility, preparing vegetables and salads for our customers. Ready Chef has a team of over 125 people in our Dublin depot, who take great care and pride in the produce that we handle.

Ready Chef’s success as a company has been achieved through its’ continual focus on improvement, standards, product quality and training. A significant contributory factor in our success level is the on-site operation of our state of the art, food production facility. This facilitates us working through the night with our production lines and means that our customers enjoy the benefits of having their produce delivered within the first 12 hours of the product shelf life use.

Ready Chef supplies a varied customer base of hotels, contract caterers, health care providers, restaurants and many others in the food service industry. We offer a variety of pricing and supply models to suit all, from stand alone food operations through to the national contract caterers and multi food distributors.

Over the years the company has continued to expand and – with continued growing market share - Ready Chef has recently acquired adjacent properties for development. The future is looking bright with the expansion of their dedicated chilled warehouse by an additional 5000 square feet already in place plus a brand new goods inward facility in full flow.
